The
Comprehensive Audit: starting at $425 |
 The
complete audit consists of a blower door, to create a negative
pressure in the home, an infrared scan of the home to search
for cold spots, lack of insulation and moisture or water
problems. It also shows how your home’s performing in
reference to air exchange and moisture problems. Boiler or
furnace operation, combustion safety, carbon monoxide testing
and other testes may be done specific to the home. Time will
be spent walking around inside and outside the home searching
for visual problems associated with the building’s shell and
thermal boundary. Taking a different look at the home and
placing knowledge of building science to help find the
improvement that save the home owner money and make their home
safer and more comfortable to live in. Detailed reports will
be provided with recommendations and priorities that need to

Infrared Scans/Audits: starting at $150
|
 Infrared
audits take a simple look at the home with a state of the
art Infrared camera using the latest technology and
reporting software. Scans are done-in some cases- both in
and outside the buildings. The scans along with a digital
image of the surface will show the cold spots and problem
areas in a home. Infrared will also show where air and
water may be traveling inside the home without having to
tear down walls. (Although a small hole may be needed at
the discretion of the home owner to view in some cases if
it is indeed cold air or water). This audit is mainly
looking at the level of insulation in the home.
Suggestions will be given on how to address the issues in
a written and pictured report.
Using a state of the art infrared camera and using a wide
range of informational material, these scans can be almost
limitless. One can scan walls, floors, roofs, electrical
components, steam pipes, air conditioning lines;
preventative maintenance on motors; search for radiant
floor heat leaks; water leaks; moisture left behind after
a water cleanup; and almost anything that has to do with
water evaporation, heat differential, caused by

Home Performance Plus is also offering
limited general labor for some home application. These
services may include weather stripping, air sealing on
different levels, and some basic window repairing.
| Air Sealing:
Home Performance Plus offers limited air sealing and
insulating services. This is usually decided after an
audit is performed by a certified auditor. The
benefit of using Home Performance Plus is that we will
confirm the seals are effective by using our infrared
camera and/or blower door. |

Post Inspection
Services: Doing your own air sealing? Have
another contractor handling the sealing?
HPP offers post inspections to verify the sealing has
been effective. |
General Contracting
Services: We will manage and coordinate all of your
energy improvement needs by scheduling contractors and
verifying their work.
